MEKUWA Model Technology

MEKUWA Model Technology for Doors, Flaps and Frames

Model 2011 - The Advanced One

  • That's the optimum. Maximum thermal insulation and protection against condensation thanks to high-quality insulated (cold bridge-free) aluminium system technology.
  • This cold bridge-free aluminium profile technology is only available in a limited number of RAL colours.
  • All aluminium profiles are pre-anodised before coating for increased corrosion protection.
  • Any dimension from 250x380mm to 2000x2000mm can be manufactured in mm increments.
  • Optionally available with extending, externally mounted or hidden (Inox) hinge solution, each with 180° opening angle. The Inox hinges are also tested under M1 vehicle regulations.
  • This system is only produced with a double sealing.
  • Since the flap profiles are L-profiles with serrated internal profile, it is very easy to process side wall cut-outs of different thicknesses using mere adhesive technology.
  • For optically perfect edges, there are several plastic cover profiles (hammer-in keder), also with serrated profiles, available in different heights. This ensures optimum adjustment to the cut-out thickness.
  • With appropriate accessories suitable for wall and filling thicknesses from 35 - 48mm.
  • Suited for quick assembly in pure adhesive technology or in combined screw/adhesive technology.
  • With this system technology, both doors and flaps can be produced and supplied as completely ready-to-install components, or as pre-assembled frames to match existing side wall cut-outs.

System Profile MT 2010

Model 2003 - The Technician

  • This special system technology excels with very small clearances and an extruded homogeneous sealing system resulting from only externally mounted hinges.
  • The outer frame system profile resembles an L-profile which extends flat into the interior of the vehicle.
  • This means that loading items into the storage space is easy since they do not have to be lifted over a disturbing edge.
  • However, this does not allow for a second sealing.
  • All aluminium profile joints are optically hidden and additionally mechanically stabilised by using externally mounted and extending hinges. The solution allows an opening angle of 180°.
  • Any dimension from 350x210mm to 2000x2000mm can be manufactured in mm increments.
  • With appropriate accessories suitable for wall and filling thicknesses from 30 - 45 mm.
  • Suited for quick assembly in pure adhesive technology or in combined screw/adhesive technology.
  • With this system technology, both doors and flaps can be produced and supplied as completely ready-to-install components, or as pre-assembled frames to match existing side wall cut-outs.

MEKUWA Model Technology for Windows

Model GFF - The Exclusive and High-Quality Complete Frameless Window System

  • Multipurpose system technology that can be used in the production of insulated fixed, hinged, and sliding windows.
  • By integrating the real windows into external glass elements, the window function is completely independent of the shape of these external glass elements.
  • From the driver's cab along the entire side wall to the rear of the vehicle, individual glass elements can be used to create ribbon windows in real glass.
  • Lightweight construction due to optimally adjusted 4 and 5 mm thin glass elements, hinged and sliding windows with 12 mm insulating glass panes, consisting of 2x 3 mm single toughened safety glass panes, glued with 6 mm space or insulation ex works pane supplier. With a silkscreen printing edge protecting the adhesive surfaces, covering the entire surface on the outside and, very automotive, ending in a dot grid towards the inside.
  • For simple and quick installation of sliding and hinged windows, they are all equipped with a completely circumferential aluminium mounting frame on the inside. A corresponding screw connection and cover to the side wall can be attached directly to this frame.
  • All hinged windows come with MEKUWA high-quality and burglar-proof stainless steel fittings and locks, all with black coating. All sliding windows can be locked with MEKUWA burglar-proof plastic locks.
  • The construction sizes of all sliding and hinged windows are limited by the respective silkscreen printing frames available for the individual panes.
  • The form and design of the glass elements that can be produced are almost unlimited, of course, under consideration of what is technically feasible and useful.
  • All glass elements are fully glued to the outside of the side wall. The integrated windows, as described above, are glued and screwed to/with the mounting frame and the side wall.
  • Suitable mounting accessories for wall thicknesses of 35 - 45 mm are available for installing the windows. For special cases and wall thicknesses >50mm, aluminium counter frames can be used for installation, on request.
  • Individual fixed and sliding windows, e.g. for special driver's cab windows, can always be separated from this complete system and be individually produced and delivered. Optionally, in the high-quality insulated and also in the single glazed lightweight version with 4mm single toughened safety glass panes.
  • For the insulated sliding window versions, an adaptable electric 12V drive with safety stop and emergency release is available.

Model 2007 - The Low-Priced and Versatile Sliding Window System

  • With this multipurpose system technology, aluminium frame windows with single toughened safety glass and with insulated toughened safety glass panes can be produced and supplied.
  • The range includes fixed windows and sliding windows in lightweight construction. This model technology also allows to produce rectangular and triangular windows.

For cost reasons, designing and producing insulating glass versions, is, however, only reasonable for long-term series demand. The versions with single toughened safety glass can be custom designed and produced for the smallest quantities required.
  • We use aluminium profiles, single toughened safety glass or insulating glazing with 2x 3mm single toughened safety glass and 6mm insulation to form a 12mm laminated pane. The required insulating glass sliding pane is then designed as a stepped pane.
  • This standard aluminium profile technology is only available in a limited number of RAL colours, standard colour is black.
  • As a standard, the single toughened safety glass panes come without silkscreen printing edge, but can optionally be provided with this feature. The insulated toughened safety glass panes must, however, have silkscreen printing.
  • All sliding windows come with MEKUWA plastic locks for burglar-proof locking.
  • All windows are suited for quick installation in pure adhesive technology or in combined screw/adhesive technology.
  • With appropriate accessories suited for wall thicknesses from 30 - 40mm.

MEKUWA Model Technology for Stepless Window Stays

Stepless Window Stays in Modern Aluminium Design and Finish

  • In the stepless version, "fixing/locking" is carried out by means of an additionally attached pipe clamp and a screw with user-friendly knurled knob, optionally with a cross knob.
  • Simple design due to a clear modular structure. Based on the fixed length of the stay, measured from bearing pivot point to bearing pivot point when pushed in, the total length of the stay in mm as well as the extension length and/or the desired maximum opening angle in degrees can be custom made.
  • Despite its lightweight construction, the robust mechanical design is achieved by the use of special extruded aluminium tube profiles. These tube profiles not only fit into each other almost frictionless but also integrate all other attachments without any further accessories being necessary. For simple, efficient and therefore cost-effective production, all attachments are simply plugged in and permanently caulked or mounted in the respective pipe to ensure functional reliability and load capacity.

As a standard, we produce an optically discreet version with silver anodised surface. Alternatively, a more technical version is available with black coating.
  • When using MEKUWA fittings, any stay can be installed either on the left or right side of the window. This simplifies production, ordering and storage. All MEKUWA fittings are based on a uniform clip solution for quick installation, retrofitting or when special service is required.
  • The standard fittings are made of plastic (PA 6 with glass fibre content) and are available in black or brown.
  • All fitting parts are also available in stainless steel investment casting for particularly high-quality designs and heavy use, however, only in black.

Klick-Klack - Latching Window Stays in Modern Aluminium Design and Finish

The maintenance-free and patented window stay with Klick-Klack mechanism can be closed from any opening position without having to completely open the casement once up to the end stop.

The overall length, end stops and latching positions can be individually adapted to customer requirements in mm increments. This means that uniform opening angles can be made for all windows on the entire vehicle.

Simple design due to a clear modular structure. Based on the fixed length of the stay, measured from bearing pivot point to bearing pivot point when pushed in, the total length of the stay in mm as well as the extension length and/or the desired maximum opening angle in degrees can be custom made.

In the latching version (Klick-Klack), the window is locked at previously punched (freely configurable) latching positions (holes).

Despite its lightweight construction, the robust mechanical design is achieved by the use of special extruded aluminium tube profiles.
